  1. Mission Waco
    Mondays & Tuesdays 4:45 pm - 6:15 pm Mission Waco provides a daily after-school program for youth in the downtown Waco area. BU MEDS volunteers participate and assist in classes offered to the youth including cross-fit, art, engineering, and more.   2. Caritas of Waco
    Wednesdays 2:40 pm - 4:00 pm Caritas of Waco provides a food pantry that offers affordable and nutritious options for the Waco community. BU MEDS volunteers assist by restocking food and helping customers select and retrieve items they desire.   3. Mosaic in Waco
    Fridays 1:45 pm - 3:15 pm Mosaic provides a caring community for adults with mental disabilities. BU MEDS volunteers participate and assist in activities with the adults including coloring, making crafts, playing basketball, and more.   4. Hospice Bingo
    Saturdays 9:15 am - 11:00 am Residents of Regent Care Center of Woodway have a weekly bingo session every Saturday morning. Each BU MEDS volunteer sits with a small group of residents (1-4) and has the opportunity to personally interact with them while also assisting in marking numbers that have been called and retrieving prizes for the winners.   5. One-on-One Hospice
    Planned individually Bluebonnet Health Services offers one-on-one hospice service between volunteers and a single patient. BU MEDS Volunteers who decide to commit to one-on-one hospice are expected to successfully complete the necessary training and meet with their assigned patient for at minimum 30 minutes at least once a month (once every two weeks recommended). Meetings with patients are done on the individual volunteer’s own time and are not scheduled by BU MEDS.   6. Steppin' Out
    Once every semester November 10, 2018 11:00 am - 3:00 pm Baylor University Steppin' Out is an organization that seeks to serve the Waco community. They are the largest service organization on Baylor's campus. Students have the opportunity each semester to spend a day serving doing various tasks for the community such as yard work, painting, and picking up trash. Requirements: Sign up via OrgSync and be sure to choose BUMEDS as your organization! Travel: Locations are announced on the day of, and we will all carpool!
